Sorry, friends, for my absence. I had hoped to make weekly posts here but I've found myself letting go (temporarily) of a few things as I make the transition back to working woman. I wish I could share those stories with you....they're good ones.
I took a moment to go back to my Thanksgiving post last year. It was the end of a momentous year in my life and one that I'll never forget. In fact, it will probably get a name like "B.C." or "A.D" in the Roman calendar. I was a little emotional about all the goodness I had discovered in my world, but even a year later, it's still all true.
This year, my gratitude has bloomed out a little more. I have a job, and just that simple fact is something to be deeply grateful for. And it's a good job for me. My family has welcomed home one of its members and we're so glad to have him. My friendships have deepened and I'm excited by the new things that my friends are doing. I love my city even more now that I'm friends with its mayor. I'm sad that gocco has stopped making supplies but happy that Wet Paint and Japanese Paper Place seem to be doing well. Above all, I'm unbelievably happy that we have a new leader for our country who has already started doing his job even though it's not his until January 20.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

A couple of years ago, each night before I went to bed, I would write down a couple of things that I was grateful for that day. Of course, I eventually stopped. Bad idea, because as you might imagine, it was very satisfying.
Thanksgiving Day reminds me that I it's important to be thankful each day for the many blessings I have in my life. And that it's probably on those days that I feel the least like being thankful that I need it the most.
I nominated you for the "Kreativ Blogger Award" over at my blog.
I discovered your blog last spring, and it has been a great source of inspiration. Thanks for that!
