The real Genesis

On the first day, God had a great idea. She would make a world. But first She needed to find the right supplies. So She created an online shop that sold all that She needed plus some very cool items for her studio and a great notebook to organize her ideas. And She saw that it was good.

On the second day, God checked on her order and found a blog with comments linked to other blogs from around the universe. She began to read and comment herself and lost track of time. The second day.

On the third day, God knew that She needed some inspiration so went to a bookstore and browsed the creativity section. She brought home “God’s way to a Creative Life” and “Living the Holy: Everyday Creativity.” She knew that after reading these books, she would finally get started on making the world.

On the fourth day, She found a multitude of tasks that needed to be done before She could create the world. She answered email, reorganized her desk and cleaned her computer keyboard. The fourth day.

On the fifth day, She invited her friends over to form a support group. Everyone loved her idea to create the world, but they too, were frustrated with the progress on their own ideas and projects. God brought out heavenly brownies and they were happy. The fifth day.

On the sixth day, God knew She could no longer procrastinate. She was behind on the world. But first She had coffee with another supreme being. By the time She got home the day was nearly done, so She pulled an all-nighter and created the world just in time.

On the seventh day, God rested from her long, hard week.
